Day .1. Paro
Picked up at the airport, we check in to the hotel. lunch at the town.
Visit Paro Rimpung Dzong (which was build in 17 century by zhabrung ngawang namgyal maily to unify our country) Also visit national museum and kitchu monastry one of the oldest monastry build in 7th century by Tibetan Buddhist king Songchen Gombo to subdue the demoness Evening explore the paro town.
Day .2 Paro to Thimphu
Morning hike to Tiger Nest monastery built in 17 century. The round hike is about 4 to 5 hrs. After lunch in town ride to Thimphu about 54 km. Leisurely walk through Thimphu town.
Day .3 Thimphu
Morning we will spend visiting textile museum, Zorig chusum an arts and crafts school, takin zoo ( Takin is the national animal of Bhutan
After lunch we will ride to the Buddha point, app. 7 kms. gentle climb. Or the option to ride to Dodina ( app. 18 kms one way)
Day .4 Thimphu to Punukha
Today we ride about 68 kms. whiich include 18 kms. gentle climb to Dochula pass (about 3050 m.) From here all the way downhill to Punakha about 44 kms.
Evening we will visit the historical Punakha Dzong and hike to Chimi lhakang the temple of fertility. The hike is about 30 to 45 minutes through the paddy field from the road head.
Day .5 Punukha to Trongsa
We start with a drive to avoid a 58 km climb to reach the summit of Pelela pass at 3420m. After that gentle ride of about 68 km to Trongsa.
Depending on the time we reach to Trongsa, visit the massive Trongsa Dzong.
Day. 6 Trongsa to Jakar ( Bumthang)
Again today also we start with a transfer to avoid a 31 km climb to Yotongla pass at 3450m. From the pass we will ride 40 km to Jakar. Evening explore Jakar town
Day.7 Bumthang
The morning is free in or having wander around the Bumthang valley, the main trading hub of Central Bhutan. In the afternoon we have a leisurely ride and do the cultural sightseeing of Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang amogst other. Bumthang valley is considered as one of the most revered place in Bhutan. Bumthang mainly consists of four major valleys, Chumey which is already crossed previous day, Jakar or Choekar where you are today. As most of the administrative and religious institutions are located here the valley commonly known as Buthang, The other two are Tang and Ura.
Day.8 Jakar to Tang
We will ride 32 kms to reach Ugyencholing where we stay tonight. Enroute visit Mebar Tso translated as the Burning lake. After lunch we will visit the private museum to learn more about feudal Bhutan.
Day. 9 Bumthang to Paro
After breakfast depending on the flight time drive back to Batpalathang airport at Jakar (45 to 60 minutes drive) and the fly to Paro. Rest of the day explore Paro town
